Solar PV Panel Installation
At Marshall & McCourt, we offer a sophisticated solution for harnessing solar energy within your urban or rural setting. Our expertly installed Solar PV (photovoltaic) panels, discreetly integrated or placed onto your home’s rooftop, efficiently capture solar energy and convert it into electricity, enhancing the sustainability and cost-efficiency of your household. Importantly, Solar PV panels are not reliant solely on direct sunlight; they function effectively even on overcast days, a benefit further accentuated by the cooler climate in the UK, which helps prevent panel overheating.
One of the most compelling advantages of Solar PV panels is their exceptionally low operating and maintenance costs when compared to alternative energy systems. These panels are perfectly suited for urban environments and residential applications, thanks to their silent operation and unobtrusive nature. By choosing solar energy, you can achieve self-sufficiency and reduce your carbon footprint, generating renewable electricity right at home.
At Marshall & McCourt, we understand the importance of selecting the right type of Solar PV panels tailored to your specific requirements. Our experienced and dedicated team is here to guide you through the entire process, from consultation to installation. Contact us today to embark on your journey towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.

Generate Your Own Clean Electricity
Solar energy, an abundant and eco-friendly resource, offers a path to energy independence and savings. Following the initial installation investment, your electricity expenses can experience substantial reductions. (Source: https://energysavingtrust.org.uk/advice/solar-panels/)
Reduce Your Environmental Impact
Solar energy, a renewable and clean source of electricity, generates power without emitting harmful pollutants. A residential solar PV system can effectively slash carbon emissions by approximately 1.3 to 1.6 tonnes annually, contributing significantly to a greener and more sustainable future. RENEWABLE
Smart Export Guarantee
If you live in England, Scotland or Wales you can benefit from a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariff. This support system is designed to help and ensure that small-scale generators are paid for the renewable energy they export back to the power grid. The Smart Export Guarantee has been in place since January 1st 2020.
You may be eligible to apply for the Smart Export Guarantee if you have one of the following renewable energy generating technologies:
Solar PV Panels
A Wind Turbine
Hydro
Anaerobic Digestion
Micro Combined Heat & Power (Micro-CHP)
Which renewable energy installations are eligible?
There are two renewable energy installations eligible for for the Smart Export Guarantee:
Solar PV systems, onshore wind, anaerobic digestion, hydro – up to 5MW
Micro-CHP with an electrical capacity up to 50MW
A typical domestic system would be well within these size limits making them eligible for the Smart Export Guarantee. We ensure that the technology and us as the installer are certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) or equivalent. Please keep in mind that energy suppliers may ask you to provide a MCS certificate to prove the installation meets their requirements and standards. You will also need a registered smart meter that records the amount of out-going power even if you are not signing up to a smart meter or tariff.
