A perfect energy-efficient solution to meet the charity’s heating and hot water needs.

Biomass Boiler Installation for Northdale Horticulture

Background

This structure is a large commercial building owned by a charity which provides training and work-based activities for adults with learning disabilities. It was built 15 years ago with all insulation levels meeting current standards.

Requirement

A solution to provide the heating and hot water requirements for the building from one-biomass boiler that would qualify for the non- domestic RHI scheme with little maintenance required.

Solution

We designed a system that was to be located in a disused space at the end of the building which would mean very little disruption would be required as the existing system could remain in tack until the very end of the project. We supplied, installed and commissioned the boiler, flue system, buffer tank, fuel storage and plate heat exchanger. The introduction of a plate heat exchanger in place of the old oil boiler would ensure full hydraulic separation from the new and existing system. The existing heating and hot water system controls remained in situ which work in conjunction with the new pellet boilers control system.

The Testimonial

“Marshall & McCourt gave a very competitive quote and then provided excellent service throughout the installation. We felt that we had been given very good advice throughout and the quality of the finished work was excellent.”
