Air Source Heat Pump Installation For Mrs Rutherford
Background
Mrs Rutherford first made contact with us to enquire about the council supported Warm Homes Fund scheme as Marshall and McCourt were awarded this exclusive contract to deliver new first time central heating installations throughout the Tees Valley region. The property is a well-insulated, 3-story town house in a rural location and currently heated by electric storage heaters.
Requirement
A more efficient central heating and hot water system was required to provide better performance and reduced fuel bills. The proposed system also needed to qualify for Warm Homes Funding and future proof the property whilst improving its energy performance rating.
Solution
A Daikin Air Source Heat Pump was installed to provide the full properties heating and hot water demand. Assistance was provided to complete the required planning permission application due to the heat pump being located close to a neighbouring property. All new pipework was installed throughout the property for the new radiators which were designed appropriately to meet each room’s heating requirements. A pressurised hot water tank was installed in the garage which improved the flow rate and pressure to the existing thermostatic mixer showers. Finally, a specialist louvered wooden enclosure was installed around the heat pump to make the installation even more discreate.
