Ground Source Heat Pump Installation for Mr Joplin
We met Mr Joplin initially when exhibiting at the Harrogate Home Building and Renovating Show as we discussed his requirements for a new self-build development. Mr Joplin is a farmer, and this property is located on farmland, so the surrounding land was substantial. We were further recommended by the architect of this project whom we had also worked with in the past on previous renewable energy projects.
A full turnkey solution was required to mitigate any issues with multiple contractors being required to coordinate together whilst also providing a system with minimal maintenance requirements and that would work efficiently all year around. The project was also required to be completed in line with the building contractors programme of works to prevent any delays to the overall project delivery.
A Ground Source Heat Pump was the most appropriate solution for this property as it was extremely well insulated and would meet the customers requirements of high efficiencies all year around. As plenty of land was available to the rear of the property, horizontal ground collectors were used which would reduce the overall capital outlay in comparison to boreholes.
We installed a combination of underfloor heating and radiators along with the full domestic hot and cold-water services and sanitaryware installation. The full electrical installation was included within our scope of works along with a comprehensive CCTV system.
