Mr Talbot, Renewable Energy System

See how air source heat pumps can provide all heating and hot water requirements even for older buildings.

Air Source Heat Pump Installation for Mr Talbot

Background

Mr Talbot contacted us to enquire about having an air source heat pump installed under the governments Green Homes Grant funding scheme. The property is a semi-detached house and is currently heated by a solid fuel back boiler.

Requirement

An efficient heating system to replace the existing solid fuel boiler along with replacement radiators. The system needed to be low maintenance and have an increased performance in comparison to the existing gravity system. The proposed solution also needed to have new controls to allow for an independent operation of heating and hot water unlike the traditional coal back boiler.

Solution

An Air Source Heat Pump was proposed as this qualified for Green Homes Grant funding and provided an efficient heating and hot water solution with low maintenance requirements. This allowed for the solid fuel and gravity hot water system to be removed and replaced with a more environmentally friendly option which also supplied an increased hot water pressure. .
