Air Source Heat Pump installation for Mr Carrick
Mr Carrick first contacted us to look at more efficient options for his detached bungalow. The property was currently heated by an old inefficient floor standing gas boiler. The property has existing underfloor heating throughout and has been recently renovated so all insulation has been improved to existing building regulations.
The new heating solution needed to have the ability to provide a low temperature heat to the existing UFH system and control this effectively. The existing hot water system was to remain intact, so this needed to be unaffected by the new heating equipment.
An ultra-quiet Mitsubishi Ecodan was selected to provide the full heating requirement in a more efficient manor whilst helping to future proof the property and reduce running costs. As air source heat pumps provide low temperature heating, this was is an ideal solution for all underfloor heating systems and reduces CO2 emissions in comparison to fossil fuel systems. We also assisted the customer with his online renewable heat incentive (RHI) claim following the installation to ensure this process was smooth and efficient.
