Mr Brown, Underfloor Heating

We fitted a low carbon heating system in this new build integrating underfloor heating.

Underfloor Heating Installation For Mr Brown

Background

Mr Brown had recently purchased this property and has added an extension to increase its size. He was looking for a low cost way to heat the system. As no natural gas is available in the village, he was left with the dilemma of choosing an oil or LPG system that can be expensive to run with volatile fuel costs. We advised that there was cheaper renewable ways to heat the home which would not only provide a carbon reduction but also attract the governments RHI payments to generate an income along with large fuel savings. Marshall & McCourt were selected to complete this job due to our whole house solution where we completed all aspects of the plumbing, heating and renewable energy works.

Requirement

Following the advice that we provided, Mr Brown decided to proceed with an air source heat pump installation. He required this to be installed at the rear of the building so it was out of sight. He had also requested an underfloor heating solution to the ground floor area which we explained worked perfectly with a heat pumps low flow temperature. Pressurised hot water was also a must as there was to be three showers installed.

Solution

The solution was simple, a full underfloor heating system to the ground floor area, and radiators to the first floor rooms plus a pressurised hot water tank with solar compatibility which were all controlled by the Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump. Smart controls were fitted to give ultimate heating control over each room and the ability to set heating times and temperatures away remotely whilst away from the home.
