YOUR LOCAL SPECIALISTS

We can expertly advise on and install the best renewable energy heating option for you.

Biomass

At around 40% cheaper than oil or LPG, biomass fuel can be an attractive heating solution for some of our customers. Generally recommended for those living in rural locations, the systems burn wood pellets, chips or logs to provide warmth in a single room or to power central heating and hot water boilers.

With the price of traditional fuels steadily rising, this low carbon option  can lead to significant annual cost savings – particularly for users who have high heat usage requirements. As an added incentive, a biomass boiler installation is eligible for RHI whereby cash payments are made quarterly to contribute towards the cost of installation.

As your local biomass boiler, heat pump and solar panel specialists, we can advise on the most appropriate and cost effective solution for your home.

Heat Pumps

A heat pump is an electrical device that extracts heat from one place and transfers it to another. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor or warm air heating systems and hot water in your home.

Heat pumps are are extremely efficient and can operate at an impressive 360% efficiency! This means that for every £1 spent on electricity you receive £3.60 worth of heat. What’s more, with an average lifespan of up to 25 years, minimal maintenance and RHI eligibility, it is a no-brainer as to why they have proven to be a favorite with our customers.

Solar Power

Generate your own clean, green electricity with a solar power solution! With no carbon emissions and an infinite supply of sunshine this attractive technology is good for the environment and has proven to be an attractive choice for a number of our customers. There are two fantastic systems on offer, solar PV and solar thermal, both of which are eligible for RHI funding.

With a solar PV system electricity is generated from the sun and this can then be used to run your household appliances. Not only will your energy bills reduce but you can also get paid for generating energy too by selling any surplus back to the grid.

A solar thermal system captures the heat from the sun and uses it to heat up your water. Not only will you be doing your bit for the environment, these types of renewable heating systems can provide up to around a third of your annual hot water needs!

Underfloor Heating

The combination of underfloor heating with a heat pump or biomass boiler has been a popular choice for many of our customers. Lovely to walk on, this heating solution  will keep your toes feeling toasty on those cold winter mornings.

With no demand on wall space, this solution can be a fantastic, flexible alternative to traditional radiators or hot air heating systems. An underfloor heating system delivers a consistent and controlled distribution of heat and, with a suitable sized unit, can heat a larger area than an individual radiator.

Whats more, as it is being combined with a renewable energy technology, you will be eligible for RHI payback from the government to subsidize the cost of installation.

RHI

If you opt to install a renewable technology you will be eligible for Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) government funding. The aim of the scheme is to help the UK reduce its carbon emissions and offers a financial award to those who switch to a heating system that uses naturally replenished energy.

Cash payments are made quarterly – over a seven year period for a domestic property and over twenty years for a non-domestic premises – based on the kilowatt hour of heat you produce. This can contribute towards installation costs and, on occasions, the payback can even supersede the initial outlay!
